Urban Herding minus the sheep. Treibball is a dog sport that uses large exercise balls which the dogs push and dribble to the opposite side of the court or field. Group will learn from guidance and observation of all dogs working in the group, along with one-on-one assistance.
Please see video below for an example of Treibball in action.
Our class will take place in our indoor training facility.
WHAT TO BRING
Each dog should bring their own exercize ball that is sized for them. The ball should be a size that they can push with their nose but large enough that they cannot bite it or easily jump over it. Some dogs may need to start out with muzzles if they succeed at biting and popping their ball. You will also need a clicker, treats, Driving Stick (3 ft long).
*If your dog is a heavy prey driven dog, a muzzle might be suggested to avoid popping of exercise balls
All dogs must know (and obey!) all basic commands. If you're dog does not obey the basic commands we require that you attend Basic Obedience first.
